Photographing
the quiet hours.

A small studio in Tāmaki Makaurau, working slowly on weddings, portraits, and editorial frames for people who notice.

04 / 07 About

Founded 2018
Lily & Aroha
Auckland

A studio of two, working slowly on the moments most people miss.

We met at a wedding in 2018 and haven't stopped photographing since. We work on a small number of commissions each year — never more than thirty — so that we can give each one the time it asks for.

Our work is editorial in spirit: quiet light, slow frames, no forced poses. We shoot on medium-format digital and a single film body. Everything is finished in our own studio in Grey Lynn.

06 / 07 Process

How we work

Four steps. No surprises, no upsells.

01 — Inquiry

You write. We reply within two days, with a short note and a handful of dates.

02 — Call

A thirty-minute call to talk through the day, the light, and what matters to you.

03 — Shoot

We arrive early, stay late, move quietly. We bring film and a notebook.

04 — Delivery

A private gallery within four weeks. Hand-edited, never more than 80 frames per hour.
