04 / 07 About
Founded 2018
Lily & Aroha
Auckland
“A studio of two, working slowly on the moments most people miss.”
We met at a wedding in 2018 and haven't stopped photographing since. We work on a small number of commissions each year — never more than thirty — so that we can give each one the time it asks for.
Our work is editorial in spirit: quiet light, slow frames, no forced poses. We shoot on medium-format digital and a single film body. Everything is finished in our own studio in Grey Lynn.
